“How do you know when it’s done?”
I am often asked that question by my fabric collage students. While only you know for certain when it’s done, I have provided some guidelines in this week’s Throwback Thursday.
The flexibility of fabric collage makes it possible to just keep on collaging, adjusting a bit here or a bit there ad infinitum. That’s not something I recommend. So read the post below to get some hints for making sure that you’re ready to move on to your next fabric collage adventure.

Our 2021 challenge to you has been to pick a subject and work on it through the first three months of the year, week-by-week. Do your homework (a.k.a. read the posts) throughout each month, then attend the meeting at the end of that month to ask questions pertaining to those four posts. There’s still a bit time left to get going on a collage project and work through the steps to ask some final questions at the end of March. Or maybe you have a collage waiting for a final push to the end—then this is the month for you as the Throwback Thursday posts lead you through the final steps.

Watching your post on Thursday’s inspires me to paint with fabric I look at a picture of a rose. I think there is no way I could paint a picture. But when I think of making a quilt of the rose, all my thoughts are of the fabrics I need to complete a picture. All of colors of thread and fabrics flow together and I know I can quilt the rose.
