Today’s post continues our series covering the technique of fabric collage. Today we tackle the third step in fabric collage: choosing your fabric. This is a fun step, ’cause who doesn’t love handling fabric?! (Tom sometimes accuses me of “fondling” my fabric. I tell him to go away and give me my privacy.)
Each Throwback Thursday in January, February, and March will cover a step of creating an image in fabric collage. At the end of each month, I’ll host a Thursday Night in My Studio Live! presentation where I’ll follow up on that month’s TBT steps, answer any questions, and share quilts from followers who are at that stage. It’s like working through a project with a whole bunch of other blog readers.
So pick a subject, read a post and act on it. Do your homework through the month, then attend the meeting at the end of the month to ask your questions. Attendees will receive a recording of the Thursday Night presentation to review at your leisure (or if you were unable to attend on that date and time).
We ask you to send your images and questions ONE DAY BEFORE the meeting to Tom: [email protected] (registrants will get a reminder sent to their email addresses 24 hours prior to the meetings). Please include “Thursday Night” in the subject head. Thanks! I look forward to seeing you there!
