We hope that you had a lovely Thanksgiving with good company and food. For us, everyone worked together to add to the day and it all went quite smoothly. We decided that after the dishes were cleared from the table, we would pause, letting the dinner settle, and play a game—something we used to do but had quietly fallen away in the last few years. So a past favorite game, UNO, it was. The absolute newbie to that card game, our new family matriarch, my sister’s mother-in-law, won! Totally surprising herself. In second place was a friend of ours for years and years but at our Thanksgiving table for the first time. All-in-all, it was all quite perfect.
On this Small Business Saturday, Tom and I would like to chime in with a new offering, one that a few of you have asked about—gift cards, also known as gift certificates—just in time for the holidays. These gift cards can be for any amount and can be redeemed for any fabric collage product, eWorkshop, or Live Online Class available on susancarlson.com.
There are six themed card designs to choose from. They can be delivered by email to your recipient immediately or at any date you set. They can also be printed out to be included in your greeting card or gift.
Gift cards are good toward all products listed through my website, such as patterns, my book Serendipity Quilts, eWorkshops, even the Fabric Collage Master Class and my upcoming Live Online Classes. Gift cards cannot be used for items that are paid through Zoom—such as my Fly on the Wall series, or items I’m not involved with selling—such as my books from other vendors or in-person classes through other venues such as my 2024 classes in Tucson, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Bar Harbor).
Gifts cards are available for any amount and can be applied as a “coupon” to reduce the price of a larger purchase—or towards a smaller purchase with a remaining balance to be used at a later date.

What a great idea!
Gift cards is a great idea. One question I have is do they have an expiration date?
Hi Frances! No expiration date—and any balance carries forward. Thanks for asking!
