As you may know from earlier posts, I’m using some summer time to finish up the moon portrait of my son, Sam. I’ve already reached the third draft stage where I add fine-tuning details such as sheer fabrics to the quilt, for highlights and shadows, or to create definition, or simply to add some sparkle to the celestial theme.
So this Saturday in your regular weekly post, I’ve created a demo with some of the sheer fabrics I’m using in that portrait quilt. I haven’t finished that third draft yet, ’cause I’m still adding more! To warm you up for that post, I present todays TBT, “Sequence in Fabric Collage Part 3: Using Sheers.” This post will outline some of the way in which I use sheers, netting, tulle, organza, and other semi-transparent fabrics.
Read on and learn about the magic of sheers!
