When we introduced the Fabric Collage Master Class in March 2018, we had little idea how popular it would become. This online start-to-finish learning resource employs text, photos, and video to teach the technique of fabric collage, in your time and on your schedule. Currently we have 1,380 members to the Master Class. Many of these users are quite active (we can see when the Master Class was last used), but others haven’t used the Master Class in years.
Fabric Collage Master Class Info
Tom thinks he knows why many are inactive: they’ve either forgotten they own the Master Class, or they’ve forgotten how to access it! Why does he think this? Because he receives emails all the time from members asking for help accessing the Master Class or other eWorkshops.
If this is you, you are not alone, and Tom can help you through this, step-by-step.
1.) Don’t Know if You’re a Member?
First off, if you are wondering if you already own the Master Class, the solution is easy: just contact Tom via email and he’ll look up your membership. If you have changed your email address in the time since you believe you signed up, please let Tom know that. He can update your membership information to include your new email, which will be necessary to log in again.
2.) Wondering How to Access Your Fabric Collage Master Class Membership?
Again this is a common email Tom receives. A member hasn’t used the Master Class in months, maybe years. First they wonder if they are still members or if their membership has expired. Membership to the Fabric Collage Master Class never expires.
If you were once a member, you are still a member. If you want confirmation, just contact Tom via email.
The next question returning users ask is: What’s my password? I’ve forgotten it.
Not a problem. As long as your email is the same as when you registered, you can change the password. Visit the “My Account” page and there you’ll find a “Lost Your Password” link. See below.

Sometimes the reset password email will get caught in your Spam or Junk email folders. If this happens or you cannot locate the reset password email, again just contact Tom and he will do a temporary reset of your password for you.
3.) Okay, I’ve Logged In. Now What?
You’ve confirmed you’re a member. You’ve got your password. You’re logged in. Now how do you access the Master Class (or any other eWorkshop you may own)? You are a MEMBER of the Fabric Collage Master Class, so look for the Memberships tab. See below.

Once you have clicked on Memberships, look for the Fabric Collage Master Class. On the Memberships page we have every eWorkshop offered—the Master Class is at the bottom of the list. See below.

Clicking on the Master Class Membership will open up a list including Content, which displays the various steps of the Master Class. See below.

We usually suggest people start at the beginning with the overview. Though if you’d like, you could jump right into Step 2, the Fabric Collage Technique. Or maybe you’re looking for advice on Backgrounds. You’ll find all those steps in this listing of Content.
The opening page of each step also offers links to the other steps in the Master Class.

Results of the Fabric Collage Master Class
The Fabric Collage Master Class has proven its worth over the years. Currently, it is required curriculum for all my classes, providing a solid base for students to learn and grow from, and is a reference source I can send my students to for more information after a class ends. Over the years, many have used the Master Class as their primary means of learning fabric collage.
When the Master Class was one year old, we asked for finished collage quilt submissions for work that was created by using only the Master Class as a guide. Once those results started coming in, Tom and I knew that the Master Class was working exactly as we had hoped it would. You can see the results and enjoy the creative journeys of these Master Class students in the Finish Line blog post, below.
If you have used the Fabric Collage Master Class to create collage work of your own and would like to share it as these artists did, please click on button below. Thank you to all who share—it’s always wonderful to see the artwork and to read the stories.

The Finish Line: Quilts from the First Year of the Fabric Collage Master Class

Thank you for this very informative and helpful email. I haven’t signed in to the course in a while, but I intend to get back to it this year … one of my goals in the sewing studio for 2026! I have fabric collage projects in mind and will be glad for the review and plenty of new tips and inspiration to discover.
Thanks, Susan! You’re exactly the person we (Tom put this one together) wanted to reach! Have fun getting back into your studio, back into the Master Class, and into your collage projects!
