Last week I asked if you had any summer plans or goals. One of mine is to work in my studio finishing a collage quilt of my son Sam—while still being distracted by the myriad other things I can also do in my studio.
But “Blue Moon Sam” (working title) is my priority—okay, let’s call it a priority.
So last week I included a link to my first blog post about this quilt—the very beginning of the process. This week, we continue with the second post, where I’ve made a bit more progress, specifically with the background.
As I mentioned previously, this “recognizable” face-in-a-moon design inspired a pair of Thursday Night in My Studio Live! presentations: “Customizing a Pattern—Sun Portrait: Thursday Night in My Studio Live!” and “Customizing a Pattern—Moon Portrait: Thursday Night in My Studio Live!”, both of which are available to download on demand through the Thursday Night in My Studio Live! showcase.
So here’s that second post, below. And a third post? Well, that’s what I’m working on now, and I aim to show you something new in August!
