In this Throwback Thursday we finish up the re-visit to Washington State begun in last week’s Throwback Thursday. Just a year ago Tom and I traveled to the Seattle area for two classes and then drove west (with the help of a ferry) to the Olympic Peninsula where I taught a class in Sequim (pronounced squim). In this four-day class my students tackled all sorts of subject matter, including sea creatures, portraits, animals, bugs, and a sunflower (above, by Norma Herbold)—look for their in-progress slide show pictures in the post link below.
Tom and I made the best of our two days between engagements with a bit of sightseeing, driving to the top of the cloud-wrapped Hurricane Ridge, walking along the two spits of Ediz Hook and Dungeness, exploring Port Angeles, and visiting a game farm.
