I may have taken the week off for a little family R&R, but I wanted to be sure you had some useful information to set you on your way toward your fabric collage quilt. On Thursday I referred you back to “From Photo to Fabric: Choose the Best Shot,” the first step in any fabric collage adventure.

Today I give you the next step, taking that photo and creating a pattern (or design) to use as a base for your fabric collage quilt. The trick, as I explain in the blog post below, is to include enough but not too much detail in your drawing. This is the version updated with video, in which I use my special boy Felix (pictured above) as my subject.

This also happens to be my most popular blog post ever with about 20,000 views (not people, views). Anyway, evidently lots of folks, maybe even you, found it useful. So here it is for new or review.
