Summer’s here and the time is right … to start a fabric collage quilt!

One of the first steps is, of course, picking out a picture of your subject. But picking out the right photo isn’t as simple as flipping through your photo album. In this week’s Throwback Thursday I give you hints and tips for choosing the right photo to use for a fabric collage quilt.

  • I avidly read all your lessons, thank you for sharing them! When I did a sketched portrait for the first time & couldn’t get a feature right I was told to turn both the photo & paper sideways, then sketch what “I see” not what I think it should be. That worked
