My live-online and in-person teaching will now go on a break until September. Pandemic or not, I set aside the months of July and August to stay home. It’s time for me to regroup and enjoy where I live—a location that’s a vacation destination for many—so why wouldn’t I stay put? Of course, aside from a class in Wisconsin a couple weeks ago, I’ve stayed put for a year and a half already. But still, it’s summer in Maine.

There will be more time to spend in the studio, but not for online classes or the Thursday Night presentations that have occupied so much of my work-from-home time. Along with the need for some tidying, there’s more work to do on Sam’s moon portrait, and maybe, just maybe, time to begin a new quilt.

However, I’ve also set aside blocks of time for Fabric Collage Coaching. These one-on-one Zoom meetings are an extremely useful and efficient way for me to give feedback on a new or in-progress collage. This week’s TBT explains how I go about it. If you’re aiming, as I am, to make time for an on-going collage project or to begin a new one in the next couple months, I have time available to give whatever sort of guidance you need. The tidying however, you’ll have to tackle yourself.
