Last month, we celebrated the Fifth Anniversary of this blog.  To mark that achievement, we looked back at the five most popular posts of the past five years.

Today, in this Throwback Thursday, we’ll flashback one year to review the most four most popular posts of 2019. Finish Line posts, a How-To, and an On the Road post are on that list.

In this week’s regular Saturday post, to celebrate the coming new year (and the end of this year), we’ll revisit the top five posts of 2020.

Also coming up this Saturday, for a bit of meditation, I’ll include Tom’s latest kayaking video, in which he compresses his entire year of paddling into five and a half minutes of incredible images.

A reminder: the Fabric Collage Online Master Class Manual will be increasing in price on January 1, 2021, increasing from $149 to $199. Discounts for former students and Spiral eWorkshop owners are still in effect. Contact Tom for more information.

The Most Popular Fabric Collage Posts of Year Four

Originally Published: November 28, 2019

We’re four years old. That’s how long the blog has been running. We’ve managed to provide you with a post every week—almost always something new (once or twice a summer vacation repeat). That’s a whole lot of blog posts, so it’s a good time to do a couple things.

First, just a reminder that you can search the blog anytime you want using the tools included on each page. If you’re on your computer the tools are on the right hand side of the page. If you’re on a mobile device you can find them at the bottom of the page. You can search by category using the drop down menu, or you can use key words in the “search” box.

Since we’ve just completed our blog’s fourth revolution around the sun, I thought it would be appropriate to highlight the four most popular posts of the last 365 days. Each post below has received around 12,000 views. They include a variety of categories: a couple “Finish Line” posts featuring student work, a “How-To” post for interpreting fur in fabric collage, and an “On the Road Teaching” post for those who like to follow along on my travels—showcasing classroom work (such as the in-progress collage above by Bobbi Levy-Dodge) and teaching locations.

This Saturday morning in your regular post, we’ll continue the series of “Finish Line” quilts from online submissions. This week features quilts from around the country and around the world, including Canada, Australia, and Spain. Hopefully by then we’ll all be recovered from our Thanksgiving feast food coma!

To everyone here in the U.S., Happy Thanksgiving! To everyone else around the world, Happy Thursday!
