If you missed the first round of live presentations from my studio in March and April, here are another four Thursday Night fabric collage sessions in the month of May. Also, if you want to catch up, the first four presentations are available as video on demand. See the links below.

Each Thursday for 4 weeks
100 Attendee Limit (per night)
$5 Registration Fee
This month we concentrate on the face. We kick off May 7 with a look at what I’ve been doing the last couple weeks in my studio. I intended to do a series of improvisational faces using only scraps. I was inspired by the scrappy fish I started in the April 9 presentation of my quilt “Kaloli Moondance.” I did do one loose and scrappy face, but that then launched me straight into a portrait of my son, Sam, as a moon—who knew that was going to happen? So we’ll take a look at those two quilts in progress before taking questions.
In the following three weeks, I’ll cover a specific facial feature: nose, eyes, and mouth—continuing in an improvisational style. Knowing a few of the basics of how a face is constructed may encourage you to try one of your own. A simple face template will be available free with registration for those who might want to follow along. Q&A will follow the demos each week.
Registration through Zoom is quick and easy. Logging in to the presentation is as simple as clicking a couple links. If you can watch movies on Netflix or Youtube, you can watch me live in my studio. Instructions for logging in will sent via email in your registration confirmation.
We are offering a money-back “technology-failure” guarantee. If you can’t view the webinar for any reason, simply request a refund and we will happily oblige.
A little backstory: This live-from-my-studio idea came about very quickly, just a week before the first Thursday night session! Tom and I are scrambling along with everyone else, figuring out how to make things work out, including how to help mitigate the mental stress that people are experiencing right now. So as plans got cancelled and postponed, we decided to make some future ideas a reality instead.
Thinking creatively is helping distract us from the news, hopefully this could be a diversion for you too. Let’s talk fabric collage.
If we purchase the Thursday night classes is the info available to us in the future to keep? Thanks!
Yes. You will be given a coupon code for purchasing the on-demand video.
After we buy the Thursday class is the code we get afterwards another purchase?
The code is for a recording of the presentation you signed up to view live. This is in part in case you have trouble viewing the event live.
To clarify, when you register for the Thursday night presentation at $5, you will receive the recording for free, using a coupon code to “purchase” it when we make it available a couple days later on Saturday.
Oh, ok now I get it. Thanks!
I tried to register for May 7 class and see that it is full. I previously inquired about the continuation of classes after the first 4…. did I by any chance register at that time? I hate to miss any sessions!
Sorry, Pat. We did announce the May 7 class a couple weeks ago. The other three we just announced today.
Hi! I enjoyed your last “Lives” that you did, and I thought I had registered for all 4 this time but the first one didn’t go through and now I see that it is full. Do I now have to wait until the replays are on?
Thanks!
According to our records you are registered for the first one in this series on May 7. I’ve resent the confirmation email.
I have registered for the next three Thursday night sessions. I have watched all of the others and have enjoyed and learned from them all. I recently returned to my summer home in northern Wisconsin, a place where internet access is often spotty. It is likely that I will not be able to view the session live and will wind up watching at another time when my connection is better. I have already paid, but I didn’t know if you could open up my live spot for someone else if the sessions have filled up.
Looking forward to watching the sessions when I can.
Linda
Thank you, Linda.
