If you’re new to fabric collage, there are certainly a few choices for the final step to completing your quilt. Displaying your quilt means deciding how it will be hung up. There are lots of different methods. In the TBT post below, I show a few of my favorites. I’ve used them all at least once, deciding on each to suit a particular purpose. Choose with thought and then let the world see your creation in its best light.

  • Hi Susan,

I have your Master Class Manual (need to print it out for easier access). I have a question. I’m working on a baby quilt and glueing pieces on an elephant to start. I will quilt when finished. My question is: can this be washed? I am concerned that even after quilting that the edges may fray or become loose if it goes into the washer.

    Thank you,
    Mary (fellow Marylander, go Terps)

    • This is not the best method for a baby quilt that needs to be washed. Water loosens the glues, dissolves it in fact. These quilts are meant to hang on the wall, not be used.
