In last week’s Throwback Thursday, I revisited the first step in fabric collage: making a pattern. So this week I’m following up with the next step: choosing your fabric.

When you’re at home, if you decide you need a different color or pattern, you have your entire stash to pull from. But what about when you travel to a class? What should you bring to class? This question is particularly relevant for the 42 students I have coming up during my two weeks teaching in Kalispell, Montana and my weeklong Maine Quilt Retreat, both of which happen in June.

Even more information about choosing your fabric for fabric collage is available in the Fabric Collage Master Class Manual (see below).
