On the Road: MISA at Tanque Verde, Tucson, AZ

When cold weather strikes, MISA moves to warmer climes, following the snow birds to the Southwest. They call the retreat MISA-West, gathering just outside of Tucson, AZ, at the Tanque Verde Ranch Resort. That’s where I spent the third week of January, teaching fabric collage to a group of 19 students.

Of course, the very best way to get a great picture of your quilt is to have it professionally photographed. But many of us don’t need really need that. Still, it’s nice to have the best possible snapshot if for nothing more than being able to show it off on your Facebook page or from the screen of your smartphone.
