If you’ve been following this weekly blog for a while, you’ve seen lots of the fabric collage quilts made by my students. Typically, the collection of quilts you’ll see in a Finish Line post will be made by students who have learned in a variety of different ways: in-person, live online, or from my books.
In this Throwback Thursday Finish Line, however, all the student works were created using the Fabric Collage Master Class. These students were all early users of the Master Class and their works were my “proof” that what I’d hoped was true—that students could work independently to learn fabric collage if they were given the right resources. After eight years since its introduction, the Fabric Collage Master Class continues to be a great tool. We now use it as a reference in all my classes now. In fact, it is a prerequisite for my online classes, such as the upcoming 5-Day Live Online Class in July.
There are a wide variety of quilts in today’s Throwback Thursday, from people-portraits to abstract spirals (such as Kathy Kennedy’s, above). I am proud of them all. I hope you enjoy them.
