My “Specimens” exhibit of fabric collage quilts opened on July 19 at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. Currently I am in Paducah teaching a three day class at NQM and visiting the quilts. “Specimens” first visited Paducah when the quilts appeared at AQS Quiltweek-Paducah in 2022 and is the subject of this week’s Throwback Thursday.

Stay tuned for a brief update from me this Saturday when I’ll share some pics from my time there. Hopefully, I’ll get to interact with some of the visitors to the show. It’s always fun to answer questions and encourage them even when they say things like “I could never do something like that!” Not true! And who knows, I might even run into some old friends, like Nancy Blake and Joe Clark, above, back in 2022.
