I don’t often have guest posts, but when I do it’s because the guest has a particular skill or experience I don’t have. In the case of this week’s Throwback Thursday, the skill is photography and the guest is Joel Davidson. I met Joel’s wife Marilyn when she attended the first of many of my classes. She often used Joel’s fantastic photography as the basis for her equally fantastic quilts.

When the idea for a post that explained how to take good photographs of student quilts came up, we decided to ask Joel and he happily obliged. Here’s a link to his photography page.

In your regular post this Saturday, we’ll feature another guest post, co-authored by Mary McKay and Catriona Stirling. The two met up in Edinburgh, Scotland, to visit with my quilt “Tickled Pink” which is appearing in a Kaffe Fasset show at Dovecot Studios.
