This week I’ve been preparing for next week’s January 2023 Live Online Fabric Collage Class. A big part of that preparation is meeting with my 12 students individually to give them pre-class coaching on their subjects, designs, and fabric choices. Since animals of all sorts are top subject matter, I’m seeing lots of furry faces from my students. Creating that fur in fabric collage will be their challenge over the five days of class. As pre-class homework, it wouldn’t hurt to assign today’s Throwback Thursday, “Creating Fur in Fabric Collage,” which covers that exact topic. It may also be helpful to you in your own fabric collage. Who knows?

Hardware and Software Requirements: Computer, tablet, or other larger-screen device; reliable internet; ability to photograph and send images of collage in progress (a cellphone is recommended); Zoom meeting software (free to download)

Subject Matter: This class deals with animal subjects—furred, feathered, or scaled—pets, exotic animals, birds, insects, sea life, sea slugs, whatever type of animal appeals to you.
Included: Forty-five minute private pre-class coaching session to prepare you for Day One of class.
