It has been more than four years since I last taught at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts (WMQFA) in Cedarburg, WI. As this post is published I’ll be starting day four of a five-day class there. This class was postponed for a year, for obvious reasons, but working together with the museum and my students, we made it happen. Today’s TBT harkens back to that previous class in 2017.
WMQFA also was where my quilt “Crocodylus Smylus” had its first appearance to the public in 2015. When the museum first contacted me about having a couple of my quilts appear in an upcoming show of animal quilts, “Crocodylus Smylus”, or Stevie as I call her, had stalled in production. The show was just the impetus I needed to get her finished. In the time lapse video below, see Stevie come to life.
