Near the end of each summer I step back from fabric collage and dedicate one post to reflecting on the summer: gardens, outdoor activities, adventures. We live in Maine, which is nicknamed Vacationland, so there’s plenty happening in the summer (balanced by a dearth of much-goin’-on in the winter, of course).

So since we’re right around summer’s half-way mark, this week’s TBT looks back at last summer. In a few weeks, I’ll gather my photos of the season, Tom will do the same with his kayaking videos, and we’ll put out a new installment for Summer 2021.

I’ll be optimistic here, and hope that wherever you are (in the northern hemisphere) you’re having a Goldilocks summer: not too hot or cold, not too wet or too dry, but just right. And the same sentiments go for those of you in the southern hemisphere, for a Goldilocks winter.
