It’s my job to teach fabric collage. So I feel pretty good when somebody gets it. I call these occasions lightbulb moments. During our trip to Melbourne, Australia for the Australasian Quilt Convention in April 2019, Tom recorded some lightbulb moments shared by my students. I thank them again for being such good sports. (Pictured above is Jenny Breeze’s pup portrait, below is Robyn Ellis’s red panda).
I hope you benefit from their hints and tips in today’s Throwback Thursday. Coming up Saturday, I’ll continue the theme of learning fabric collage with a comprehensive look at all the ways you can learn fabric collage (at least the way I do it!). From the free material you can find in the blog to the Fabric Collage Master Class there’s a resource to match every budget and ambition.
Thursday Night in My Studio Live! presentations return on May 7. My preliminary plans for that presentation (I may change my mind!) is to show what I’ve been working on lately, then provide a simple project for my viewers based on what I’ve been doing.
For an up-to-date listing of current and past presentations, visit the front page of this website and scroll down to the Thursday Night in My Studio Live! section.
