Today’s TBT takes you through the process of choosing a photo or other image to use for your fabric collage quilt. Starting with a good image—one that is in focus with plenty of contrast and a full range of values—is important, making your work easier and more likely to succeed. For most this is the first step in the process of creating a fabric collage quilt.

In your regular Saturday post I talk about the other end of the process: How to decide if your quilt is finished. Since it’s collage you can always add more fabric, right? So how do you know when it’s “done”? This week I’ll provide a checklist of questions to ask yourself to help you make that decision.
