When I published my first “Finish Line” blog three years ago, I assumed this would be a series, so I gave it the number one: “The Finish Line: Completed Student Work 1.” I continued this numbering system for quite some time, getting to number 18. I guess I’ve abandoned that system, instead looking for themes within each post, such as pets, birds, quilts from a particular class, and so on. To date, I’ve published 35 Finish Line blog posts, featuring a couple hundred student quilts. You can peruse all the Finish Line posts here. Overall, we are closing in on 300 blog posts, all of which you can search by either category or key word. Those search options are available in the right hand column of any blog post. (Or at the end with the mobile version.)
For now, here’s a sample Finish Line post, Number 12. At the time, I was so proud to reach that number. Little did I know how many quilts were yet to come!
Hopefully, in the not-too-distant future you’ll see finished quilts from my Washington state students, whose in progress work is included in last week’s regular blog post featuring the two Fish, Bug, and Butterfly classes and this week’s Saturday morning blog post, when I will cover the four-day Fabric Images class.
