I cram a lot of information into the five days of my fabric collage retreats. It isn’t always clear what’s sticking in my students’ minds and what’s slipping right by. Sometimes it’s the little things that students find to be the most helpful, like a glue bottle that stands on end or using your phone’s camera to gain a new perspective on your in-progress work. In this Throwback Thursday, I let my October 2018 class of advanced students, which included Joanne Schwartz (above), give you some of their own tips they find most helpful.
This Saturday in your regular weekly post, you’ll see the second in a series of blog posts starring three of my most experienced students, one of which being Joanne Hannon Shaw (pictured second from left below), when I show off this Joanne’s work in her own Finish Line blog post. I hope you’ve enjoyed the previous post featuring Darlene Determan and are looking forward to next week’s post featuring Marilyn Davidson, whose work has appeared in two previous blog posts here and here.
