Quilts can be hung for display in a number of different ways. In the Throwback Thursday post below I explore some methods to hang your fabric collage quilt. Deciding which technique to use is dependent in large part on where you’ll hang it: at home, in a gallery, or at a quilt show. For display at home or in a gallery there are a number of options involving frames, bars, velcro and so on. But for displaying at quilt shows, a sleeve (or casing) is pretty much mandatory.
I got to thinking about quilt shows and displaying quilts when I was alerted by some former students on my Facebook page that quilts that they had begun in a past class with me, had been juried into the 2019 Road to California Quilters’ Conference and Showcase. In this Saturday’s regular blog post I will feature those ladies and their quilts from that show.
