Take a class with Susan Carlson—
from wherever you are in the world!

Can’t travel to take an in-person class? Let me come to you. Live!

Learn fabric collage from me, in your own home, through your computer, tablet, or other internet-connected device.

In this five-day class I reproduce the in-person experience as closely as possible. There are morning group meetings to answer questions. Then I meet with students individually throughout the day. Zoom break-out rooms recreate the experience of working side-by-side with your fellow students. Evening events include a meet-and-greet and a show-and-share.

Typical Class Schedule

One Week Before Class

A 45-minute private coaching session with each student prior to class is included. These sessions will be scheduled for the week prior to class to ensure that each student is prepared with subject matter and supplies, is comfortable with the online format, and ready to begin the class on day one. For an example of what a coaching session is like, please visit this link.

Night Before Class Starts

Susan hosts a meeting to introduce herself and other students and talk about what they plan to do in class. Wine is optional.

Daily Class Schedule

• Each day runs roughly from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone (8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Time)
(with a 1 hour break in teaching sometime between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. ET).

• Prior to start of each class day: a pre-recorded presentation introduces next step(s) in process. Students will come to meeting having already watched presentation.

• Work day begins with a live Q&A with the full class where Susan further discusses that day’s topic and short check-in with each student to set their plans for the day.

• Students are then sent to a Zoom “break-out” room with a few other students.  With remaining morning time, Susan meets with individual students.

• Mid-day break (two hour break in teaching)

• Afternoon: Susan continues to meets with individual students. By end of day, Susan will have suggested “homework” for next day. A short “walk-through” to share progress on projects finishes each day.

End of Class Week

Susan hosts an evening meeting on last day of class with all students to share and review their work.

After Class

Optional,  follow-up coaching session within 3 months of end of class at a special reduced price of $100 (reg, $129).
