Welcome to week two of Throwback posts of fabric collage in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today I revisit the second of my two 2022 classes—the first class was covered in last week’s TBT. This second class is a group of students who are well versed in my way of teaching fabric collage, having taken at least a couple classes with me prior.
So, be prepared for some great in-progress projects in this TBT–such as Nancy Bonkowski’s very large feline (above), plus more gobsmacking work from my intermediate and advanced students. And as always with my On The Road posts, I include curated galleries of photos giving you a sense of the place I was teaching at—such as the warmly inviting town of Santa Fe.
Please join me in this second trip back to May 2022, visiting the sunny days, great people, bright colors, and fantastic fabric collage work of this talented class of collage artists.
This Saturday in your regular weekly post I’ll finish up with my recent visit to Santa Fe, March 2026. So use this post to further whet your appetite for more fabric adventure in the Southwest!

Recent cancellations have opened a couple spots in this Fabric Collage 10-day Immersion. The class runs over the course of two weeks, Tuesday–Saturday each week. The two days in between are to relax, sightsee, or spend more time in the classroom. 😉
Retreat owner Chris and I are considering opening the workshop to a limited number of students who are interested in attending only one of the two weeks. Students attending only one week must have previous experience in my fabric collage technique—intermediate+ level. If you are interested, please reach out to Chris Daly via the Woodland Ridge Retreat contact page. We hope you can join us!
