If this were NOT a holiday weekend, I would be bringing you the second in our three-part post about my latest Live Online Class. The first part appeared last week. You can view it here: NOT On the Road: November 2022 Live Online Fabric Collage Class—Part 1: The Paws-atives.
Because it IS Thanksgiving weekend, I didn’t want the fabulous work that my students did in class to get overlooked. For I suspect, as much as you love this blog, you may be otherwise occupied during this long weekend. Like enjoying family (and traveling away from family), cleaning up the dinner leftovers, or taking a long nap to recover. And let’s face it, I do write a lot about the work that my students accomplish—I’m very proud of them—but it makes for much to read and digest.
So instead, I’d like to present the previously collaged quilts shared during the class week—such as “Sam” by Grace Crocker, photo above. You see, at the end of each workday, we all gather back into the main Zoom meeting room and take a “walk” through final photos of the day to check out what everyone accomplished. Early on, we invited folks to also send in photos of any previous collage quilts to share with their classmates. There were many ooh’s and aah’s to be heard.
And that’s what I’m sharing with you in this very special Finish Line post—a walk through the gallery of fabric collage quilts previously completed by students attending my latest live online class. I hope that for you, as it was for all of us in the class, these collage quilts help you to appreciate these artists just a little better.
I’m letting the following quilts do the talking all on their own—an easy-to-digest feast for the eyes only—featuring the work of my talented ladies. Please check out the actual class posts covering the online class week’s projects from all twelve students: Part 1 from last week, Parts 2 & 3 coming up on the next two Saturdays!
Every time I look at any of the quilts you share I am just in awe of what everyone does! Wonderful job everyone ????
These are all marvellous. I’m working on a lions head
Using your methods from your book Serendipity Quilts.
Plus I have previously sent in a landscape again using your methods.
These people are talented! I love their work and I can see that they put a lot of insight and love into their efforts.
