Quilt Africa 2023

I don’t usually repeat a post from one week to the next, but this will be an exception. It’s something new and exciting for me to be included as a speaker in the Quilt Africa Online Summit in a few weeks—July 6-8, 2022.

The theme for this year’s annual summit is: In the Spirit of Africa—Letting the Fabric Speak. It was great to read the comments from last week’s post—people are excited to learn new ways to apply African fabrics to their quilt making. I’m getting new ideas myself, just by clicking on the speaker links to read more about those fabric artists and the work they create.

To read more about the speakers yourself, click on the button below. Then scroll down the page to see our speaker photos and click on the “read more…” text for each one of us. Each presentation will be available to you for six months after the summit ends.

And of course if you missed last Saturday’s post about Quilt Africa Fabrics and the inspirational story of founder Miriam Galadima-Benson, or just need a refresher to decide if you’d like to get a ticket sooner rather than later, check out my Quilt Africa Online Summit post below.

And thanks to those who have already signed up for their summit ticket, the Speaker’s Bundle, or already shopped the Quilt Africa Fabrics store! Read about all that in this Throwback Thursday post!
