Here is my 2020 class schedule.

I teach fabric collage at different venues around the country. Each venue handles the advertising for the classes, often giving priority to their own mailing lists and returning students, which is why you will see that most of these classes are full already.

Also, you may note that I haven’t listed any of my own Maine Quilt Retreats. I am taking a year off from the retreats so that I can spend more time in the studio. My own personal goal is to create at least one new quilt each year. For the past few years I’ve been averaging more like one quilt every two years. So, something is out of balance time-wise. I plan to reinstate some of my Maine Quilt Retreats in 2021, though I’m not sure how many yet.

I anticipate that the reduction in my teaching on top of the fact that most of my 2020 classes are already full will be frustrating for some. But I hope to offset a bit of that frustration by mentioning that I will be spending more time in 2020 working on my online learning resources, specifically developing modules for the Fabric Collage Online Master Class Manual. I can reach more people through the internet than I can ever hope to reach by traveling and teaching in person.

To make it easier for those interested in taking a class, as far as I know the only venues with spaces open are my Madeline Island School of the Arts Advanced class (for those who have taken classes with me before) and the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts class (for any level student), which as of this writing has five spots open.

All the others are waitlist only. If you are at all interested in one of these classes, put your name on the waitlist. I know from experience in my own retreats that the list can get used up quickly the closer to the event you get. Keep your fingers crossed.

I have made an edit to the write-up explaining what you need to do. Please scroll back up to that class info! Good luck and let me know if anyone tries it and how it works!

    • Hi Sharyn, I have not had the opportunity to teach in Atlanta, though years ago I taught for a guild in northern Georgia. I have taught in other southern locales in the past, but not for a awhile now, and nothing on the schedule for right now. Thanks for asking though.

  • I was waiting with excitement for your list of classes for 2020. It is so disappointing to find out they are all already filled before you even posted them. Heartbroken!

    • All my spring classes have been cancelled, postponed or rescheduled. The next in-person class is in June. I am not terribly optimistic that that one will run either.

      • Thank you for your prompt answer. I am on your waitlist for September classes. Hopefully, it will be somewhat back to normal by then. Take care.

  • I would very much like to take a class with you in 2021! Do you have a mailing list that you send out for your schedule? My email is [email protected]
I have your Serendipity book and have done a couple of your patterns. Love the process!
Thank you! Brenda Jakubecy. Charlotte, NC area.

    • Brenda, I will list my classes for 2021 on my website once they are finalized. FYI All my classes next year are with different venues. You have to register through them, not me.
