This Throwback Thursday featuring Finish Line quilts from my past Maine Quilt Retreat students, nicely introduces this Saturday’s first of two blog posts detailing my fall 2019 Maine Quilt Retreats. It always provides a nice cap to the experience of hosting these retreats when I get to see the finished product of my students’ hard work.

This fall the first class was held here in my hometown of Harpswell. The second will be held in Portland, Maine. Be on the lookout for that one, which will appear in a few weeks.

For now enjoy these fabric collage creations from previous years.

  • Oh, my, how exciting to see The Window Watchers, a fabric collage of my three cats–Rahrah, Tarbaby, and Elizabeth–in this post, with a reminder reference to Finish Line Post #7 with Elizabeth My Almost Perfect Cat. My other collages are Yellow Fish and Green Fish based on Susan’s Carpe Diem pattern. I have recently had the dark wood paneled LR and DR walls painted lighter (actually a paint color named “muslin”) and these fabric collages make these rooms look like an art gallery. Thanks, Susan, for your inspiration and awesome instructions!
