This Saturday, along with your regular blog post (featuring the second half of my fabric collage teaching trip to Wisconsin), you’ll receive a special post with an update on my 2019 Susan Carlson Maine Quilt Retreats. Included information will be dates, fees, venues, and—most importantly—the date registration will open up (Hint: early January).
In the meantime, this Throwback Thursday refers you back to my original 2019 teaching schedule announcement, which includes all of my teaching engagements around the country (and Australia in April). I feel obligated to report that last we knew, all classes are now full, though I encourage you to be added to the waitlist where possible if you’re interested. Openings happen all the time and up to the last minute, as I found out with own retreats this year.
I would love if You came to Denmark, your work is fantastic
Susan, I did not see anything for Main.
That information is coming on the Saturday post.
For those dreaming of a class with Susan, if a class is full, be sure to get on the wait list. This is how I got in her Maine October 2017 class. It was a wonderful and memorable experience!
As a biologist and quilter, nothing excites me more than an art quilt with a living subject. Your quilts are gorgeous. I would love to participate in a workshop, but I suspect I should start at a more “beginner” level than most of your classes probably offer. Do you have any suggestions for me? I have a long (50 yr) history of sewing, a 3-year history of quilting, and virtually no experience with freeform art quilting. Thank you!
Susan Gibbons
If you want more instruction, I have a book and an online multi-media manual available for sale through my website. Hope this helps.
Thank you! I just wrote an email (I hadn’t seen this yet) asking you essentially the same question again, so feel free to ignore it!
