Coming in my Saturday post, I’ll be opening up registration for all my 2025 fabric collage classes. To get ready for class you may be thinking about organizing your fabrics. For ideas on how I and others store and organize their fabrics, see the post below. Whether it is foldable chunks or scraps from your latest project, keeping them sorted in a usable way saves a lot of headaches.

My Live Online Classes offer a glimpse into my students’ work spaces as we video chat over the course of a week—their studios tend to be much more tidy than my own—but it’s all how we angle the camera, isn’t it? Typically there are some overlaps in the way we manage our stash—shelves or drawers, bins and baskets, for example. I hope by now my students are all aware of the usefulness of those plastic lettuce bins from the grocery store. They are so great for corralling scraps from fabric collage projects, keeping them collected together and visible at the same time. Plus a bit less plastic in our landfills!

However you keep your fabric organized you will probably find a useful tip here.

Sort It Out: Organizing Fabric (Updated)

Registration for All my Live Online Classes Starts Saturday!

Ready to take your first (or next) fabric collage class? My entire schedule for 2025 is now set. This should give my prospective students plenty of time to plan ahead and choose a date that works for them.

I’m offering both in-person and online classes next year. So whether you like to travel or not, there’s an option for you. In-person classes, such as my new Tuscany retreat (see below), offer a unique experience in wonderful locations. While my live online classes allow you to work from the comfort of your home. Which experience do you prefer?

In-person classes are already open for registration. My online classes—including my four-week Thursday Follow-Along classes (see in-progress cicada subject above)—will be open for general registration starting next Saturday. Patreon supporters will be given early registration beginning next Tuesday.
