Looking for an in-person fabric collage class with me in 2024? My mid-Spring class at Woodland Ridge Retreat in Wisconsin, filled quickly earlier this year. Then three people had to withdraw—but maybe it would work for you? See the link below for more information, including description and cost.
UPDATE: This class filled immediately! However, Chris is taking names for a waitlist. To be added to the waitlist for this class, contact [email protected].
For a detailed look at a previous class at Woodland Ridge, this week’s TBT takes us back to last year’s visit. One of the things I like about Woodland Ridge is that it’s an all-inclusive venue. Food, lodging, and work space are in the same building. If you like, you could stay in your comfy pajamas all week. I’ve taught at this retreat for years and there truly have been those that wake up, pour a cup of coffee, start working with a break when called for breakfast, and forget they’re still in their pj’s until lunchtime!
You can even buy fabric from our host Chris Daly’s selection of quilting fabrics, which she sells onsite (in the wide hallways of the retreat center) and through her Etsy shop: DyeCandy. Chris and I have similar tastes and she understands what works well for fabric collage, so if anyone finds a gap in their fabric selection, we can usually fill it right there. Also, let’s not forget meals. Chris is a super cook and is very attentive to everyone’s food needs and preferences, including my vegan gluten-free diet. Yummy food to keep all of us fueled for concentrating all week on fabric collage.
