My lace polar bear “Winfrieda” (above) is finished and currently on display at the New England Quilt Museum as part of their show, “Animalia: The Animal Kingdom in Quilts and Textiles“.
While in progress, “Winfrieda” starred in two previous blog posts (below). Thus, today’s Throwback Thursday. A final post of the finished quilt is scheduled for November.
Previously, I hosted various Winfrieda “Fly on the Wall” Zoom sessions. In these online meetings from my studio, attendees peeked over my shoulder as I worked on the collage. In November, I will wrap up this quilt with one more slide show presentation for Winfrieda, before beginning a couple new Fly on the Wall series in November and February. You can read all about them and register to attend in this Saturday’s weekly post—where you will also be able to register for my January-June, 2024 Live Online Classes.
This final session covering the third draft of Winfrieda the lace polar bear is a FREE event. Please don’t hesitate to register even if you can’t attend as I will send you a link to view a recording of the presentation later.
