SUMMARY:Susan Carlson June 2018 Quilt Retreat: All Levels
DESCRIPTION:SORRY. THIS CLASS IS FULL. \nThis retreat will be held at the Harpswell Inn\, mere footsteps away from Casco Bay and half a mile from my studio. The Harpswell Inn\, established in 1761\, is a favorite for those who really like to experience the whole Maine “thing.” A classic white New Englander with plenty of character overlooking the islands of Middle Bay\, and a local lobster pound. \nIf you haven’t taken a class with me before or if you need a refresher\, this class is for you\, though any level may sign up. I start each morning with about an hour-long demonstration that will lay out the basics of fabric collage and will give you the information you need to start your work day. I will then visit each student in turn to address individual needs and your project’s unique challenges. \nAll retreats are limited to a maximum enrollment of twelve to ensure each student receives ample attention. Retreat price includes on-site lunch\, as well as one group dinner. The inn serves breakfast as part of their overnight package\, which requires separate booking. Lodging and additional meals are extra. Sharing of rooms can be accommodated.

DESCRIPTION:Susan Carlson’s workshop will be held at the Quilt Gallery June 19-23\, 2018. Please note that this class runs Tuesday through Saturday. Sign up soon as this class fills up quickly! \nIn this class\, “Fabric Images: Anything Else Goes”\, you will create an image using Susan’s innovative layering/collage method. Individual design\, fabric selection\, construction\, borders\, and quilting will be discussed.  Click here for Supply List. \nPlease read the Quilt Gallery Class Policy for more information on registration & cancellation policies and general class information. For your convenience here is a list of area motels and accommodations within walking distance. \nFor anyone attending a workshop at the Quilt Gallery who will be flying in from out of State\, we strongly suggest you purchase flight insurance. As of May 1\, 2016\, we will not be responsible for reimbursing costs of canceled flights\, paying any difference in the cost of a workshop should you decide to switch to another class\, or be responsible for any other class related compensation beyond a full refund of any deposits or payments made to the Quilt Gallery for a canceled class. \nAs with all of our classes\, we ask that you do not pay for this class until you contact the Quilt Gallery at 406.257.5799 or email qg@guiltgallery.net to confirm availability. \nMost students do not need a sewing machine in this class.
