Up from the Depths
1999, 29 x 76 inches
Created for my first book, Free-Style Quilts, this quilt is a slice of a coral reef from the sunlit zone at the top to the dark and dangerous bottom. Species include barracuda, sea turtle, parrotfish, moray eel, and spider crab. Special thanks to underwater photography buff Lee Cooper for allowing me use of her wonderful shots.
